General Surface Cleaner
1 tsp Liquid Soap Castile (pure vegetable oil based soap)
1 tsp Borax (ensure it has no toxic additives)
1 tbsp Lemon Juice
2 pints Warm Water
Squirt spray and wipe with cloth.
Oven Cleaner
2 tbsp Liquid Soap Castile (pure vegetable oil based soap)
2 tsp Borax (ensure it has no toxic additives)
1 pint Warm Water
Cover heat element and turn off power first.Use foaming spray nozzle.
Leave 1 hour before wiping off.
Window & Mirror Cleaner
2 tbsp Borax (ensure it has no toxic additives)
3 cups Warm Water
Squirt spray and wipe with cloth.Finish with newspaper to prevent streaks.
Disinfectant
¼ cup Borax (ensure it has no toxic additives)
4 pints Warm Water. (Use hot for drains)
Spray surface and leave a few minutes before wiping clean.
Drain and Toilet Bowl Cleaner
¼ cup Baking Soda (sprinkle in first)
½ cup White Vinegar (pour after soda)
Sprinkle soda first then pour vinegar.Leave for 30 minutes.
Follow with hot water disinfectant mix.
Carpets
¼ cup Liquid Soap- Castile (pure vegetable oil based soap)
¼ cup Warm soda water
Spot test carpet beforehand to check color.Use foaming spray nozzle to cover carpet.Do not wet carpet. Do small areas at a time.Leave 1 hour before wiping off with damp cloth, rinsing regularly. Vacuum afterwards.
Bath, Basin & Tiles
2 tbsp Liquid Soap- Castile (pure vegetable oil based soap)
2 tsp Borax (ensure it has no toxic additives)
¼ cup Vinegar
2 pints Warm Water
Use foaming spray nozzle and leave for a few minutes
before rinsing off with warm water.
Hard Floors
½ cup Vinegar
4 pints Very Warm Water
Soap solutions will streak hard floors, so use plain vinegar. Spot treat problem areas with general surface cleaner first.
Mold on Tiles
1 cup Hydrogen Peroxide (3%)
2 cups Water
Spray onto mold and scrub off in 1 hour.
Air Freshener
drops Lavender oil or similar
bowl Water
Buy bottles of pure flower oils to freshen the house.
Follow directions on bottle.
